Animierte Assoziationen zu Carte Blanche IV
Die Präsentation zeigte die Ergebnisse des Trickfilmworkshops von Essam Abdallah/The Townhouse Gallery Kairo mit Masterstudierenden des Instituts für Kunstpädagogik Leipzig. Der Workshop fand im Januar 2009 in Zusammenarbeit mit Kunstvermittlerinnen der GFZK FÜR DICH statt.
Der Schwerpunkt des fünftägigen Kurses lag auf dem Erlernen einfacher Techniken und Tools im Hinblick auf ihre Anwendbarkeit in der außerschulischen Projektarbeit mit Kindern und Jugendlichen. Ausgangspunkt war die inhaltliche Bezugnahme auf die Ausstellung Carte Blanche IV: Mark Lombardi und Julius Popp. Die Ideen bzw. Storyboards wurden in zwei Gruppen erarbeitet. Die zwei Filme wurden mittels verschiedener Techniken hergestellt (Collage, Montage, Zeichnungen etc.). Neben den beiden Animationsfilmen werden die Dokumentation des Entstehungsprozesses und ausgewählte Filme von Essam Abdallah zu sehen sein.
Ein Kooperationsprojekt mit dem Institut für Kunstpädagogik der Universität Leipzig und der GFZK FÜR DICH. Essam Abdallah arbeitete für insgesamt drei Monate in der GfZK im Bereich Kunstvermittlung im Rahmen der „CrossCulture Praktika“ des Institutes für Auslandsbeziehungen e.V. (ifa).

Animated connotations to Carte Blanche IV
The presentation showed the results of the cartoon-workshop of Essam Abdallah/The Townhouse Gallery Kairo with master students (graduate or postgraduate students) in the Institute for Kunstpädagogik ( „art pedagogy“) Leipzig. The workshop took place in January 2009 in cooperation with the pedagogics of the GFZK FÜR DICH.
The main focus of the five day course was laid on the learning of simple techniques and tools with view on the applicability in the extracurricular project work with children and adolescents. The initial point was the reference to the exhibition Carte Blanche IV: Mark Lombardi und Julius Popp with regards to its content. The ideas, respectively the storyboards, were developed in two groups. The two films were produced using different methods (collage, montage, drawings …). Parallel to the two animated films the documentation of the development process and selected films of Essam Abdallah will be seen.
A cooperation with the Institute for Art Pedagogics of the University of Leipzig and the GFZK FÜR DICH. Essam Abdallah worked in the GFZK in the department for art pedagogics within the framework of the „CrossCulture Praktika“ of the Institute for Foreign Relations (ifa) all in all for three months.
